Just got it a couple of days ago. All good, but as I have Flash 8 and can't move it onto my new iMac (20 inches.... my penis, not the screen), I've gotta fork out $700 to get CS3 which is shitty and I'm MAD AS HELL AND NOT GOING TO TAKE IT ANYMORE

Seriously though, I've still got the serial key for flash 8 but I have no idea where to download the flash 8 trial anymore now it's gone all adobe and shit.

This isn't so much a dig at Leopard, or even relevant to it actually.

I have a Macbook pro and Windows. I love them both but the cleanliness of Mac wins hands down. There apples computers are just so pristine in just about every way.

Man... it makes me wish i chose an Apple iMac now instead of a normal jack of all trades laptop... which is alright, Vista seems ok, but Leopard just looks so much more.... nice? cool? simple? whatever you wanna call it... Apple is a good company, but it's starting to try to be Microsoft. It's like Pepsi and Coke, there should be both, and they should both be different. Also, your desktop is much, much better.

My only complaint is that they got rid of the signature rounded menu bar corners. Found an <a href="http://www.manytricks.com/displapertu re/">app</a> to fix that though. Everything else is fantastic.

I used to work at an Apple call center. I handled the orders of people. When they received a product that didn't work I would set up a return. Other times I would tell them the status of their product along its journey to them. 99% of the time however the calls would go like this.

MORON: "I got my iPod and it doesn't have my engraving." [Add varying level of anger]
ME: "Have you taken it out of the package?"
MORON: "No."
ME: "Take it out and look on the back."
MORON: "....................................
.....................Oh."
*long pause*
MORON: "Well on the website it shows it on the front."
ME: "No it doesn't."
MORON: "............................... Ok well thanks bye." *click*

As annoyed as I would get, I would at least always do my best to help the customers out. Other employees however weren't so nice. I saw people getting transferred to lines that weren't used for anything so they would be on hold forever, replacements intentionally set up wrong, wrong information given because it would get the customer satisfied and off the phone quicker, etc. It's pretty brutal and there's really nothing done about it.

In short, enjoy your Mac and pray you never have to send it back to Apple for anything.

I Bought Leopard, but I'm relegated to using it solely on the PowerBook G4 that I bought a year ago, and not my main eMac, which I bought four years ago.

Why, you ask? Because my eMac is a measly 800 MHz PowerPC. Woe is me.

Ive never had a mac, i guess i don't really care which i use unless i use a mac and it sucks.
My desktop was clean now it has 153 icons on it, ill fix that when i feel like it.

I'm always gonna be a Mac fan. Even though I don't have one, I know it's much better than Windows.

About the dock.... you could have simple put "defaults write com.apple.dock no-glass -boolean YES" - without quotation marks in Terminal to turn that crap off.

Much easier than downloading a third party application.

I usually skip the odd X.version iinstalls, myself. All of my Macs have only run 10.2 & 10.4. And I really suggest everyone try the same... usually the odd numbered versions of OS X are test trials of new stuff, and a surprising amount gets cut, or completely redone in the next even-numbered version. Just a thought.

I can't stand Tiger, much less Leopard. My brother has a mac and I HATE IT. Apple thinks they're so goddamn special with the sleek-looking, special- effects-rich interfaces and such. Not only can I not stand Tiger, I can't stand the overly minimalistic nature of macs in general. Some of us find a use for a page-down key...
Eventually, Apple will release a little white plastic card the size of a matchbox. It will have one button. Depending on how you brush your finger over the button, it will do different things. This card will have the ability to access the internet, play music, use as a phone, communicate with alien planets, and microwave pizzas. I FUCKING HATE APPLE.
