Awesome, Brian Regan is my favorite comedian. The new layout is pretty cool, but I'll miss some of the things ;(

I got used to the huge Newgrounds redesign pretty fast, because it was actually a big step forward rather than a step backward.

The problem is not so much in the design as in the poor thinking put into it. For example, all but 2 flashes auto-played on me that were on the portal listings. Furthermore, there are now large boxes blocking profile options and reviews are so out of the way. The last part, the resizing aspect. (BEFORE YOU STATE THAT THIS ISN'T MANDATORY) Some of us do make flashes that are intended to be only viewed at a certain aspect ratio to prevent lag and/or sound issues. As the creators of the content, it would seem appropriate to give those creators the option of stopping expansion of their flashes. (so as to prevent them from being voted as poor, as a result of the viewer using an incorrect size). Not that you will care as your mind is to narrowed to spot obvious errors that should have been fixed prior to utilization of the new format.

ive started hating the narrow layout now.

i like and i dont like it. first off i think, it should be the same thing as it was before but you still have all the options you have in the update and can switch from normal to wide screen. second, the fact that you cant open and close the movie/game is kinda annoying and thats all i really have to say.

It's decent, but I actually like reading the comments without having to scroll.

Plus, as WinchesterLock pointed out, some people don't understand the concept of drag and drop NG Preloaders, which is annoying. I can't count how many times I just leave a page up without the Flash actually open.

Plus, it bothers me that it makes the logo/menu bar stretch and look crappy.

It's nice on some things, but maybe just leave it to Front Page movies.

And the size is an issue too. Initially, when Tom tried to put it into effect the other day, I liked how it was just nestled in on the left with all the info to the right, versus just a giant fucking movie now.

I don't know anything about this "stretching" he refers too, but if that is an issue, maybe that should get looked at too. I mean, we have to enter in the height and width of a movie, if there's going to be a zoom, it should be doable with a 1.25- 1.5 ratio, right?

Whatever. You guys will do what you want, a few people are going to complain, but more people are gonna suck your dicks over it. The usual to anything that happens.

The layout itself isn't too bad. I could get used to it. But I noticed that when I hit "back" on the browser, I end up clicking it a million times just to get back to the main page. I'm pretty sure it's just because I used that "darken" button, but still.

Is there a way to make the wide layout feature optional for users with an account. So if you don't like it you can go into your account settings and turn it off and go back to narrow layout? And then people who arn't logged into an account just have it automatically set to wide layout?

I think that this site makes it... somewhat less original.... but most users find it a downgrade. I don't know why poeple dislike it, is it because they ONLY want to vote on it? is it because- ect. there are a lot of reasons, one of my reasons why I like it was because when I opened the popup window on the old layout, I accidently scroll down by accidently moving my fingers. If I scroll up or down, It crashes the browser and I have to restart the browser. I like it. I'm still waiting for another Tankmen movie. Thank you for your patience.

*The voting icons needs to be resized to fit the enlarged size.
*The NG acess bar at the top needs to be resized to make the sit look more... professional, Now it looks like a poorly designed site, we all know that's not true, you and the team have been working to get this update for us, Newgrounders.
It's just that most of us don't understand the amount of work that is involved to get this update.

I like the wide layout actually based on how newgrounds' old system of the browser lock pop-up, or the new browser pop-up was quite tedious when trying to do multiple things. This runs very smoothly and I think that the dipshits who frequent newgrounds are all just threatened by change. I have not run into any problems with the new layout, and i think people are just making up excuses to knock it. Johnny, your thoughts?
