Wow. Really enjoyed reading the article: I always wondered how gamemakers like Brad Bourne managed to combine art and code so well. Makes more sense, now. And Braid looks better than Castle Crashers, to be honest.

Out of curiousity, are developer's consoles made individually for each new game? Like, did Tom go out and code a console for making Castle Crashers?

Yeah, I'm currently working on a game with some friends. It's so exciting to be combining programming minds and artistic minds into one project.

As nice as it looks, I'm not a huge fan of the style of Braids art. I like castle Crashers cartoony style more. Anyways the project inthris before and after looks so good. Same with territory wars.

Just played the games (inthri), and why didnt he use your graphics? The game would have been much better if he had had better graphics.

Hey, I played Project Inthri 3 when it came out.

The artistguy made the crab like: 90% crab, 10% robot- I think that's just cos he's no great artist, but it's funny how you kept the same shape.

Just saw the swap, excellent renders! Someone sorta mentioned this but it wasn't really answered. In flash, if you are going to import graphics from photoshop (gifs, pngs, jpgs,) what works best to reduce the file size? Right now, I am working on a thing with Bryce and we are only half way through and our file size is already in the 6 MB's!

Like others have said, the Project Inthri 3 swap looks amazing.

Also, I agree, Braid is pretty awesome, and the layered backgrounds are quite nice actually.

Lastly, your user picture is awesome as well. That game's gonna be great.

i downloaded the trial of braid.. the way the guy ended up with in the background was kind of neat. how organic it was. the character looked a bit lame... i didnt like his midget / gnome like proportions..

I dream of the day that flash can handle elaborate executions like that where backgrounds are really lush and alive.

You should consider doing graphics for a game, its good to have a break from animating movies. I find doing art work for games its a lot more rewarding. Also you must get sick of lip syncing sometimes?

Braid looks pretty cool too, although Im not sure if I like the actual style. I prefer the cleaner/sexier look of castle crashers :P
