I was short on time, but here's what I came up with for this years Comicon NG banner. It will be 3 feet x 9 feet and it'll be hoisted 8 feet up in the air, next to the equally big Behemoth banner that Dan had just finished as well.

Anyways, though guilt ridden, I had to draw the line somewhere and stopped jamming in characters at 33. Sorry if I excluded anybody, but this poster contains way more than last years, and maybe next year it will be even more ridiculous.

Slightly on and off topic, but of all the issues I've had with Flash over the years, one of the most staggeringly incompetent problems has been exporting hi-res images from it.

This poster ended up being around 8000x27000 pixels so it was reasonably sharp at 9 feet high, and I literally had to export over 20 sections and paste them back together into a master photoshop document for printing. WHAT A BURDEN.

WHY DIDN'T YOU JUST USE AN ILLUSTRATOR FILE?
Because I have a few photoshop effects, such as desaturation and color overlays that flash *can* do it but not well...but that is another topic for another day.

I hope you poindexters at adobe can fix this so I don't have to deal with this shit ever again.

ANYWAYS, if you're going to Comicon, feel free stop by the booth and say hi. And a word to the wise, don't loiter in front of the booth for 5 hours at a time all sweaty and nervous I WON'T NAME ANY NAMES but there was one guy in a black t-shirt and he looked like he was about to stab Tom and eat the flesh off his face - everybody else was totally cool.

I know it pains a bunch of people that his stuff is popular...but it doesn't invalidate the fact he's a pretty decent artist and animator with great comedic timing. I really like ego's work and if anybody has a problem with him being on the poster I would suggest getting a fucking grip - there's far more popular and less deserving shit out there to be angry at.

Nice to see Khale and Mr Coo in there. Only character I don't recognize is the big gorilla. The desaturated effect gives it a distinct style and the overall composition is awesome. The shading on the tankman bothers me a bit though, I dunno why. Just the lighter parts. Maybe cause he's up front and center.

Also, flash always gets the short end of the stick on advanced features. Minus actionscript I guess. I swear all other adobe programs are able to do little things flash can but way better- library organization, video exports, sound sync, hi-res image export, etc.

I'm sort of used to drawing in differnet styles, however due to time contraints, I used some artists art "as is".

badly drawn dog, the R.A.B. cat, pop and lochness monster and a few others are largely the original art, with possibly small tweaks to fit into the layout and possibly different lighting. bitey, khale, mastermind, etc I completely redrew to fit into the layout better.

I's say mastermind was the most fun to draw....for some reason snake was the toughest..even though there's a million variations of him already.

some are way too large, and others too small. It's almost as if you just threw on P-Bot, Salad Fingers, that gorrila, and a couple of the other massive ones, then just started squeezing in other characters into the nooks and crannys. Fancy Pants and Strawberry clock are practically microscopic, and that gorrila is just gigantic. It's pretty awesome that you included Mr Coo though.

anyways, guilty as charged, I did trace it...I'd normally prefer to redraw everybody but I had to get this in a quickly as possible so it could get to the printers on time ..I figured a traced zekey was better than no zekey

who's that octopus guy holding the stereo? and taht duck w/ the helmet on his head next to P-bot. And the scary dude w/ the chains next to the mastermind and charlie the unicorn... and the cat looks very familiar, just can't put my finger on it.

Some people have complained that the poster is to crowded. I like the way it looks. If anyone says anything at the convention, you can say that it was intentional. The idea is that the poster had to be crowded because there is so much great stuff on Newgrounds.

Constructive criticism:
1. Why is Junior using a chainsaw? The thing is as big as he is. I think he would look better with his knife.
2. I do not like the way you drew P-Bot. First, his eyes and darkened face make him look sad. Second, his right arm is missing. There was space, so I think it should have been included.

I think that is all I have to say. Overall, the poster is very good. I'll be waiting to see what you can do if you have some time.
